SetMeFree ("we", "us", "our") operates setmefree.app, a platform that generates personalized AI-powered plans to help people transition to remote work and relocate internationally. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
When you use SetMeFree, we collect: questionnaire responses you provide, including your employment status, skills, income goals, savings, risk tolerance, and destination preferences; the AI-generated plan created based on your responses; your progress within your plan — which steps and tasks you have marked as complete; your email address, if you choose to email yourself a copy of your plan; and basic technical information such as IP address, used for rate limiting and fraud prevention. We do not collect or store payment card details — these are handled entirely by Gumroad, our payment processor.
We use your information to generate your personalized plan using the Anthropic Claude AI API; to store your plan so you can return to it later via your unique plan link; to save your progress across visits and devices, tied to your plan link; to email you a copy of your plan, if requested; and to verify your purchase and prevent abuse.
Your questionnaire responses, generated plan content, and progress data are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), tied to a unique, randomly-generated plan link known only to you. This data is retained indefinitely so your plan link continues to work over time. If you would like your data deleted, contact us at ${process.env.NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPPORT_EMAIL} and we will remove it within a reasonable timeframe.
SetMeFree relies on the following third parties: Anthropic (Claude AI) — generates your personalized plan content based on your answers; Google Firebase — stores your plan and progress data; Resend — sends plan emails when requested; Gumroad — processes payments (Gumroad's own privacy policy governs any payment information you provide directly to them); and affiliate partners including SafetyWing, ElevenLabs, Systeme.io, and others, recommended within your generated plan. If you click these links, those companies may track your visit under their own privacy policies.
SetMeFree uses minimal cookies, limited to what is necessary for the site to function, such as remembering your progress. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at ${process.env.NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPPORT_EMAIL}.
SetMeFree is not directed at individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
SetMeFree is operated from Israel, and your data may be processed in Israel, the United States, or other locations where our service providers operate. By using SetMeFree, you consent to this processing.
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of SetMeFree after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
